I cannot believe He Jingzhou actually said if he cannot have Shen Wanxing, neither can the other guy. That level of possessiveness is scary. Watching him walk into the room while she is unconscious and then threaten her when she wakes up gave me chills. The scene where he holds her neck and says he wants her forever is the peak of toxic romance in I Loved the Wrong Brother.
Shen Wanxing deserves better
Poor Shen Wanxing goes from trying on wedding attire to being kidnapped in a single day. The phone call where she talks about the mental illness certificate adds so much mystery. Why is she being targeted? He Jingzhou treating her like a prisoner instead of a person is heartbreaking. I hope she finds a way to escape this nightmare in I Loved the Wrong Brother soon.
The Visuals are Stunning
The production value here is crazy. The proposal scene with the chandelier and the red carpet looks like a movie. Then the shift to the street scene with Shen Wanxing in that white suit is so chic. Even the dark room where she is held captive has a moody, cinematic lighting. I Loved the Wrong Brother knows how to make every frame look expensive and dramatic.
That Twist Ending
Just when you think it is a happy engagement story, He Jingzhou ruins everything. The way he stares at the couple before the kidnapping happens is so creepy.
