That is some psychological horror right there. It suggests they have snapped or found a twisted joy in the end. The emotional range displayed by the cast in (Dubbed) Level Up: The Mythic Staff is surprisingly deep for a short format.
That Phoenix Energy Though
Can we talk about the phoenix transformation? The burst of fire and the sudden appearance of the chibi-style girl was such a fun surprise. It contrasts so sharply with the gritty, armored demon lord. I love how the show mixes different art styles to represent different powers. The green energy she spits out looks so potent. Definitely a standout moment that adds a bit of whimsy to the dark fantasy.

Heaven and earth resonating, divine weapons appearing, and ancient relics awakening? The scale of power in this show is massive. It feels like every second counts. The dialogue about the Cloudrift relic adds a nice bit of lore without feeling like an info-dump. You can tell the world-building is extensive. I am just here waiting to see if they can actually pull off this rescue mission against such overwhelming odds.
Bull Demon Best Boy
Okay, the bull demon might be the antagonist, but his determination is admirable. Charging into battle, smashing obstacles, and even trying to eat the magic vines to get stronger? He is trying his best! The design of his armor with the skull motifs is super cool. Seeing him confused by the system message adds a bit of vulnerability. I kind of want him to win, or at least get a snack after all this fighting.
Non-Stop Adrenaline Rush
From the very first second, this episode does not let up. The pacing is frantic but in a good way. Just when you think you understand what is happening, a golden pillar crashes down or a new monster appears. The sound design must be incredible to match these visuals. Watching this on the netshort app was an immersive experience. If you like high-octane fantasy with a mix of humor and gore, this is it.
